This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are Television Production vocational students who will get industry jobs in the future. Most are Hispanic and have chosen Miami Lakes Education Center as their school of chose. Hialeah is a largely lower middle class Hispanic community in the north west section of Miami Dade county Florida.The age group are 14 - 17 years of age and they are chosen to come this is school. It is part of a four year program allowing the student to graduate with an Industry Certificate as well as a Program completer.
My Project
Each student will produce a documentary as part of their final capstone projects. As documentary filmmakers it is essential that the student receives experience using professional equipment. This kit will add to the students experience.
They can improve learning and create better images for their projects, by enhancing the visual and aural element in their project.
The addition of lights and sound to a documentary will greatly improve the look and quality of the student led documentaries.
As the documentary form becomes more and more popular the need for well created and produced project will only increase. Thank you so much for your consideration.
The equipment will be used to light the interviews being filmed and the microphones will help record the best sound.
