This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love the enthusiasm that my students have for painting. They are creative and have become proficient in mixing colors, filling the canvas with their compositions, and bringing their ideas to life! There are students who I don't teach who are asking to be part of my class!
I will be teaching a new painting class this Spring, but we are running low on supplies, and most people don't know that our mayor has cut funding across all of the Department of Education of NYC.
I would love for my students to use fresh paint, so they won't be limited in choice of colors. We have also run out of canvas, so this will surely help us. A donation of these supplies can take us til the end of the school year.
