Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Many of my students are amazing and extremely hard workers. If you were to walk into my classroom, you would see students collaborating, helping each other, reading, chilling, and telling jokes. My classroom is their second home. We are a family.
My school is a Title I school, where more than ninety-five percent of the student population qualifies for free or reduced-price lunch.
My school is centrally located in the middle of the richest areas in the nation, yet their parents work two or three jobs just to make the rent.
My Project
The Adjustable Literature Organizer will be extremely useful for my students to place important work, book, and other classroom materials in case they are lost or damaged. I have a few students who still are working on staying organized. If you open some of their backpacks, it's like opening Pandora's Box. You will never know what will come out. At my school, we do not have lockers, and they still have to switch classrooms. The mailboxes will be a secure place students can leave their materials and not be afraid of saying they lost it. I thought this could be a possible solution for students not to misplace their work.
