Help me give my students a place to relax and take a break. These futons will do just that! Our new student lounge will allow students sit and play board games, read books or a place to chat.
Our students come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with over 50% of our students receiving free lunch. Our school is also one of the most ethnically diverse schools in Queens. Students speak a multitude of languages including English, Spanish, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Arabic. As diverse as our students are economically and culturally, they are diverse in their academics.
This year our school is implementing the PBIS Program.
PBIS creates a positive environment in which students and staff thrive and succeed!
My Project
Student Lounge Futons would be an excellent addition to our student lounge. A Student Lounge will allow students a place to go sit and relax, and use their free time during lunch. Games, books, and music will be offered for students to utilize. Students will also have to opportunity to sit and socialize with their peers in a quiet setting. The PBIS Program allows students to take the steps to ensures success in supporting all students according to their needs and to achieve an amazing school culture. One incentive for students is to earn time in our new student lounge.
