Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students at my school are wonderful, kind, and hard-working; they never let where they come from hold them back and keep them from achieving their goals! My students love to come to school everyday and oddly hate vacations. My students cherish our daily reading time and work to challenge themselves in class every day. They are very self-motivated given that most of their parents work 2 or 3 jobs and offer very little support at home. My students are going to influence the world and nothing will stand in their way!
My Project
My students are quickly making their way through the books I currently have in my classroom library. I like to provide as many series options as possible so when students find a book they like, they will have several choices to follow.
Most of the books on my list are books students requested because they started a series, and I do not currently have the book(s) that follows.
Nothing is more disappointing than when a student is super into a book and the book ends, and then they excitedly ask you for the next book in the series ready to continue their adventure, and you have to tell them you don't have it.
By helping to fund these books, you are helping their many adventures continue!
