Help me give my students raised garden kits, soil, gloves, watering cans, a utility wagon, and all the resources they need to learn how to garden and grow vegetables in science class.

My Project

All items I am requesting are specific to gardening. My students have never gardened before and need to begin at the beginning. They need soil, raised beds, seeds, plastic pots, gloves, water cans, a wagon to haul supplies and all the other things on our list so they can learn everything they need to do to have healthy plants.

Our school had a garden once years ago and it has not been used in many, many years, so these supplies will help to begin to restore it to what can be.

My students will plant seeds in the raised beds, water the seeds, track how long it takes them to sprout and how long it takes for the sprouts to be grown enough to transplant into a raised bed garden or into planters. My students will care for and monitor the vegetable plants until it is time to pick the vegetables. They will then create a data report on the success of their garden and begin again with a new season of planting.
