Student Favorites: Manga & Spanish Update

Help me give my students new titles in the graphic novel section by adding the manga they are asking for by name.

My Project

At our school, we have a large population of students who prefer reading graphic novels and manga. The students are begging for more titles to be added to the collection. Graphic novels and manga have gained popularity among our patrons due to their engaging narratives and illustrations. They offer an interactive and unique reading experience that captivates even the most hesitant readers, making them an important addition to our library's collection. Likewise, we have Spanish speakers who are looking for new books to be added to the collection in their native language.

These books are engaging for many types of readers, but they are particularly great for students who are multi-language learners or are struggling readers who can use the skill of connecting images to words to help make sense of and analyze the story.

These stories also tend to encompass a wide range of themes and cultures, providing students with opportunities to explore diverse perspectives and experiences. By featuring stories from various backgrounds, we can promote empathy, tolerance, and cultural understanding among our students.

This manga and Spanish update grant will help us update our manga and Spanish language collection and keep students returning to and enjoying the library. Thank you for considering donating to the students and the promotion of independent reading.
