Help me give my students the opportunity to work together to solve problems on a large visual surface like these white boards. Vertical standing whiteboards have been proven to better engage reluctant learners.

My Project
Student engagement wanes after the first few minutes in class. Seated students often disengage if one student is more vocal.
Vertical standing whiteboards are a way to involve a small group of students in a group task and promote everyone being involved with learning.
While standing at a whiteboard, students can't hide in a desk. Instead, they are able to think together and solve math problems with the support of each other. Having students standing immediately takes away the sense of anonymity and, with it, the intentional or unintentional pull away from the tasks at hand. What is left is an environment that not only supports thinking, but also necessitates it (Building Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics, Peter Liljedahl).
Having these white boards will allow for small groups to be created with a whiteboard for each group. Thank you for your consideration.
