Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many of my incoming 11th grade students have faced challenges with attendance for a variety of reasons, from personal and family responsibilities to mental health struggles.

As a response, I am building a student-centered corner in my classroom designed to foster independence and accountability.

This corner will include materials that allow students to access missed work and class notes and to use a dry-erase calendar to check important due dates. My goal is to implement a new routine that supports students in managing their own learning and staying on track, even when they’ve missed class.
