Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am more than happy to create this project to provide my students, especially our newcomer and English language learners, with a selection of books chosen by them. I am passionate about instilling a love of reading in children no matter their learning style and level. I believe that student choice is the key to turning students into readers. Every year I get to see my students become readers and that makes me beyond proud! From avid readers to reluctant readers, my kiddos are sure to find something to read that they enjoy.
It's really simple, kids need books!
As a School Librarian, I read aloud to my students every day! I thought it would be a great idea to ask them for some books they were interested in since our library consists of books that I have previously chosen. They came up with a list of books to continue learning. I'd love to get these books and book bins to store them in their hands. I appreciate your consideration.
