This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am more than happy to create this project to provide my students with a selection of biographies chosen by them. I am passionate about instilling a love of reading in children no matter their learning style and level. I believe that student choice is the key to turning students into readers. Every year I see my students become readers, which makes me beyond proud! From avid readers to reluctant readers, my kiddos are sure to find something to read that they enjoy.
It's really simple, kids need books!
As a School Librarian, I read aloud to my students every single day! I thought it would be a great idea to ask them about books they were interested in since our library consists of books that have previously been chosen by me. They came up with a list of biographies to continue learning and enjoying. These books will help us celebrate Black History Month. I'd love to get these books into their hands. Thank you for your consideration.
