Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
These dictionaries will help my students when I have them engage with difficult historical documents that we discuss in class in way that keeps them off electronic devices and the distractions that come with that.
I am hoping this will not only make the reading more accessible, but will also increase student vocabulary in a high-needs population that requires a lot of support and background knowledge before we can even discuss the topic/material.
I want to push my students to be better readers and better thinkers by having academic conversations that stretch their capabilities so they can grow.
