Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This year, I am teaching a wonderful group of 30 fourth graders. They are sweet and kind, and they love coming to school to see their friends and learn more each and every day. My school campus is a very positive and upbeat place where everyone works as a team and where the students are the heart of all of our decisions. All of the staff is happy to come to work to see the students learn and grow on a daily basis. I could not ask to teach at a better campus!
My Project
My students need a place in the classroom where they can go to calm down if they are feeling upset. This is not a "timeout" area, but rather a relaxation/meditation/calm down area. They are not "in trouble" when they go to this area. They are free to choose when they want to go to the relaxation area.
My students need a calming water fountain, a relaxing, liquid sand art picture to focus on, some squishy stress ball toys, some glitter pens to write if they would like to write when they are in the center, and an amethyst worry stone to hold on to.
I also need some laminating pouches for my laminator, because I ran out of them.
