Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project is to celebrate student birthdays and successes in class. I believe rewarding student growth, positive behavior, and celebrations daily can improve classroom culture. Students are very goal oriented and at the primary level small rewards go a long way in the development of skills for learning (focus, self advocacy, and listening skills). Celebrations also assist in building relationships student to teacher and also student to student. The rewards will create a community of learners who not only learn to celebrate themselves and their individual success/achievements, but also aid in the learning of celebrating others.
