Student Based Project Center

My Project

My students are little seedlings ready to be watered. I have the opportunity to work with some of the brightest young minds in the world. I strive daily to become the best teacher that I can be and expose them to as much as I can while I can. Our school is located in the rural Mississippi Delta. We are a Title I school where 100% of our students receive free lunches.

In this project, we are requesting donations for an HP Laptop, a standing desk, a voice amplifier, design software, a wireless mouse and keypad, and a port for student project-based learning.

We want to introduce new fun and exciting ways to learn in our classroom and what better way than to learn a new skill in the process? As part of our reading standards, the students will learn how to read and follow step-by-step directions and create their own content with the materials requested. We live in a world that is driven by social media, so why not teach students how to create positive and meaningful material that can be beneficial to the masses? One of the projects I would like for them to create is a mini-lesson on a skill that they excel in and present to school. This past year has been one that has been tough on both the students and the teachers and while bridging the learning gap that has been created we want to have fun in the process. We thank you in advance for your considering our project.
