Structured Outdoor Play

Help me give my students structured play tools to encourage positive play with each other during daily recess.

My Project

To promote positive social interactions, physical activity, and social-emotional learning (SEL) among students during recess, we plan to implement a variety of structured play opportunities. Activities will include soccer, basketball, volleyball, kickball, four square, spike ball, tether ball, flag football, and Connect Four.

These games are designed to engage students in cooperative, team-based play that encourages communication, empathy, and problem-solving.

The activities are inclusive and developmentally appropriate for students in kindergarten through 8th grade, supporting their diverse needs, abilities, and interests.

All activities will be supervised by trained staff to ensure safety, fairness, and to provide guidance that fosters respectful interactions and positive peer relationships. Our goal is to create a safe, supportive, and active recess environment that contributes to the physical, emotional, and social well-being of every student.
