This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I believe my greatest strength as a teacher has been my insatiable desire to learn more to improve my craft! Becoming an Orton-Gillingham-trained educator has long been a goal of mine. Many of my students have reading difficulties and I know that learning multi-sensory phonics instruction will help me greatly in providing structured literacy instruction. I apply any and all knowledge I have gained about the Science of Reading in my classroom daily. Now, when I am certified, I will continue to do so! The more I learn, the more confident I feel about reaching my students and being able to help increase their reading abilities!
