My Project
My students are a unique group of learners who attend our alternative school both in-person and virtually. Teaching PE in this hybrid environment can be challenging, especially when I’m limited to a small laptop screen. With an extra monitor, I’ll be able to see all of my virtual students at once, monitor their participation, and share exercise demonstrations or resources more effectively. This setup will allow me to give real-time feedback and make sure no student feels left out, whether they’re in the gym or joining from home.
The main goal of this project is to create a more interactive and supportive PE class for every student.
With a dual-screen setup, I can keep lesson plans, exercise videos, and student screens open at the same time, making it easier to engage everyone and quickly address questions or concerns. This will help me provide high-quality instruction and encourage all students to participate and stay active, no matter where they are learning from.
What makes my students special is their resilience and willingness to try new things, even when faced with challenges. Many of them thrive in a non-traditional setting and benefit from extra support and attention. By having the right technology, I can better connect with each student, celebrate their progress, and help them build confidence in their physical abilities. This project will ensure that every student feels seen, supported, and motivated to succeed in PE.
