This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Starting the school year with some essentials helps the year take off smoothly. Our classroom needs items such as markers and pencil cups to keep things organized. I try to make my consumable supplies last a couple of years but we are running low on some things. We also really need band aids and clorox wipes to help keep things clean and safe. We need a good area to store curriculum so that paraprofessionals are able to have easy access to materials for groups.

My students can get HUNGRY throughout the day and snacks are a must to keep them happy and on track.

If my students are hungry, they're not going to be able to focus on what we are learning and it can lead to some not-so-happy feelings. I offer my students a snack once a day and also allow them to earn some more "fun" snacks as positive behavior reinforcements. This snack supply will fill the class pantry and get us started off on the right foot!
