My Students
My school is a public school in Chicago where 93% of the students are low income. This year, our primary classrooms are made up of about 20 eager learners.
Our students are considered high-needs and have many stresses compared to the average five to eight-year-olds.
Because of this, I work very hard to make sure the students at our school receive the learning, resources, and exposure they need to surpass what some statistics may say. I am proud of the hard work my students put in each day!
My Project
As a primary teacher it is important to create a warm, organized, and welcoming environment for students that will be conducive to student engagement and learning. The organizational drawers will be a place to store small group materials and the pocket chart will allow me to differentiate work that students can easily access throughout the day. Storage Containers and Zipper Pouches will be used by students at their desks to organize their learning materials.
With your support, my students will start the school year off strongly with the supplies and materials they need to be successful as well as materials to make their classroom an organized and welcoming place.
