it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
At my school, we have exceptionally talented and dedicated students who are willing to go the extra mile to have a dynamic and challenging music education. Our students may face very difficult situations at home and around them, but their willingness to persevere and their tenacity has set them apart.
Our music students have gone on to do great things in the community and in higher level music education.
We are honored to know that many of our scholars have received scholarships and high placement due to their work in music. We are very proud of their work and are excited to see what great things they will do this year. Music has done great things for our most at-risk youth. Let's help them continue their great work!
My Project
This last year we have had a growing interest in strings and orchestra instruments. In order to meet that growing demand we need more Suzuki method for violin and piano accompaniment in order for our piano students to work closely with our violinists, and we need more violins and violas. The books will help our students grow and will be used in classroom, small group settings as well as individually and in our band and orchestra. The violin and viola will be used by our students at music camps, in our string ensemble, our rock and jazz ensemble and individually by our most dedicated students. Our music program and these instruments represent our schools growing commitment to our students' education. These instruments will help us meet that need of making a vigorous and exciting education for our students. Our scholars will greatly benefit by these supplies. They will be used in the classroom to demonstrate to other students as well as by students who are actively growing as musicians and scholars.
