This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Starting a band program aims to not only teach music but also instill valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, and creativity. It creates a space where students can discover their passion for music and build lasting friendships through a shared love for playing instruments and creating beautiful melodies together. A majority of my students are ELL and receive free and reduced lunch.

My goal is to provide a variety of instruments to cater to different musical preferences and talents.

This allows students to explore and find their niche, fostering a well-rounded musical education.

By having these resources, students can engage in a comprehensive and immersive learning experience. A well-equipped band program encourages teamwork, discipline, and creativity. The instruments, learning materials, and practice rooms create an environment conducive to skill development, while audio/recording equipment and instructional technology broaden their musical horizons.
