Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in grades nine through twelve, plus additional years of vocational transition (ages 15-21). We are a small, public school tucked away in the beautiful mountains. We are avid outdoor adventurers, and our lessons are geared towards Community-Based Vocational Instruction (CBVI).

My Project

My students are considered to be in the most restricted environment, due to their needs.

Our state has just recognized Unified Bowling as a Colorado-sanctioned high school sport.

Unified Bowling is when students with an Intellectual Disability and students without an Intellectual Disability partner up and compete against other high schools.

This is our first year competing. Our closest bowling alley is an hour away and having this practice set will allow for more practice.

We can practice in the classroom; in the halls; or in the gym.
