My Students
My students are 4th grade students who are amazing and curious about the world. They are excited and full of energy. 4th graders are kind and love to have fun learning.
These amazing learners come to school everyday ready to start a new day of learning with excitement and determination, which is not easy to do.
4th grade this year looks a little different with social distancing measures and masks. This will be challenging for our students and we know that anything we can do to help them feel a little more normal and comfortable will be important. Whether we are in the classroom spread out, or outside engaging in learning, 4th graders will rise to the challenge because they are resilient and love to learn.
My Project
Social Distancing in 4th grade is not normal. 4th graders by nature are social. We collaborate all day. With the new Covid mandates and restrictions, we are asking students to be 3-6ft from others, wear masks all day, and all carpets and comfortable seating removed due to sanitary concerns. Our kids deserve some ways to make this year a little more comfortable and less stressful during this challenging time.
Yoga mats will provide a way for kids to stretch out, while maintaining social distance needs.
We can also use them outside to be in the fresh air while continuing to learn. They can be easily sanitized each day and easily stored.
