My Project

The most essential building block of all learning is becoming a proficient reader. Our students are big-time readers. They scour our library shelves for their next exciting read. They get hooked on series, follow favorite characters, delve into graphic novels, and wait impatiently for the latest books to be released. Our beginning readers love the Biscuit series because it is accessible to them and they love the stories.

Our students are developing the habits that make good readers.

We talk about books, share books, recommend books, and really endeavor to create a robust culture of reading. The students have bought in so we must make sure that they have the books they want!

We also have an area of the media center dedicated to STEM items and scientific gadgets that elicit questions every time kids visit. The magnetic spinning globe is sure to nurture kids' curiosity. And when we go to the playground for recess, the megaphones will help ensure that kids play safely.
