My Students
Remember when a teacher would do an experiment in front of the class and everyone crowded around but you weren't able to get a front row seat? Remember how if you couldn't see the experiment happening, your mind would start to wander and you'd lose interest? We can fix this problem with a some help!
My students have wonderful, inquisitive minds.
There interests and backgrounds are varied, but one thing they all share is a true love of learning. Our school is an excellent place for this learning to occur. We truly teach to the whole child. We tap into our students' natural love of science and nature. We also strive to use the best possible inclusive practices and have total participation among our students.
My Project
Having a document camera will make a huge difference to the students in my class because I will be able to give every student a front row seat to every science experiment and will be able to introduce and use math manipulatives in the way they were intended. Showing students an article in the newspaper or editing a piece of writing so that all the students can see would be wonderful. I can think of a thousand uses for this resource and know that my students would benefit from it on a daily basis.
This document camera would make a difference because it would make my instruction accessible to all of my students and not just the ones who are lucky enough to have a good view.
It would increase our productivity because I would be able to show the entire class various things all at once rather than having to pass materials around or repeat the same instruction over and over. Every child would finally have a front row seat.
