My Students

I currently see 15 energetic special education kiddos ranging from Kindergarten to fourth grade. I am a Special Education Resource teacher, so I pull kiddos who need extra help with reading, math, writing, and behaviors. My students come to school happy and full of energy each day and ready to learn. They dream about being teachers, superheroes, and veterinarians. Some of them have been in school since they were three because of speech delays or other disabilities. Most all of them love science!

Most of the students struggle with math concepts and can use extra practice.

Because I see students in four different grade levels, they are all working on different skills. They can benefit from a math program that can help them work on the skills they need help on.

My Project

The students I work with all have special needs that can include emotional issues as well as ADHD and autism. They sometimes need activities to help them calm down or get sensory input to help them focus. Students often will come to my room when they need a break from their classroom or even work to come to play with slime for a few minutes!

These sensory and calm down activities will help my students be more successful in their classrooms.

This will provide my room with an assortment of different activities they can choose from to help relieve the anxiety and stress they might be feeling. This is a very stressful time in our world and we all can use something to help us manage our stress.
