My students are coming to school with increasingly more prevalent issues of feeling stressed, overwhelmed, and anxious!
These amazing social emotional tools are just what my students need to help them regulate their emotions and to be able to become successful learners in this difficult day and age!
When my students are hard at work, but just need a break to refocus themselves or regather their thoughts, these tools will be so helpful for them to be able to choose a tool that will help them to calm their nerves or refocus them. The timers will help students who struggle to accomplish things in a given amount of time. This helps them to have a visual to help keep them on track!
They need the chance to take a break when they are feeling overwhelmed, to listen to some calming music, or to use a tool to help them calm down. These all may seem like toys on the surface, but all serve such a vital importance for the children in my class! The great part is, it will benefit not just this class, but classes for years to come!!
