My Students

On the cusp of qualifying as a teenager, my sixth grade students walk to the beat of their own drum. Each individual is working on developing their personality and deciding who they are going to be when they are older. Their future is a cacophony of melodies that they have yet to understand.

Yet through all this confusion, they can come into my classroom and know that they are valued, loved and part of my family.

From the moment they enter through my classroom door, they know they belong and will be accepted for who they are and what they bring to the table as long as they never stop trying. Albert Einstein said, "You never fail until you stop trying." These kids never give up! They inspire me to find my best self and to keep trying every day.

My Project

This donation is a hodgepodge of stress relief related items and also items to help students individually learn. There are items such as headphones, water bottles, and pencil cases to help each student have the supplies they need to be successful - so that students don't need to share.

Yet, there are also items to incorporate more art into my teaching for my artistic students and help all my students to decompress after a challenging day of learning.

The art supplies are both colored pencils and watercolors all in one! This makes for a great art project or two or three!

Lastly, there are some flexible seating items to help those students that need to move a little more during the school day.
