My Students

The students I get to serve are amazing. They all have special talents and abilities. They have been demonstrated great resilience this year with COVID and the ever-changing policies and procedures. They continue to come to school each day with a smile, positive attitude and do their best.

My Project

As a member of the behavior teaching team, I have seen how COVID and the related stresses and anxiety that come with it have affected the behavior of our students.

As the world around them gets harder to navigate with social-emotional things, that are out of their control, like COVID, their ability to cope and stay motivated academically has decreased; having reward items available has helped the student's anxiety and stress levels.

These reward items will help ensure students who are struggling will have items that motivate them to continue to do their best. It will also allow them to use these rewards as tools to comfort them and remind them that they can do hard things.
