My Project

As a school-based occupational therapist, I work with students who face challenges with motor coordination, sensory regulation, attention, and daily school tasks like handwriting, cutting, and staying focused in class.

The items in this project—such as kinetic sand, a small trampoline, and new fine motor games—will help support their growth in essential areas like hand strength, motor planning, body awareness, and self-regulation.

Kinetic sand is an incredible tactile tool for calming sensory systems while building fine motor skills.

The trampoline will provide a safe outlet for movement, helping students regulate their bodies so they can better focus during learning activities.

Fine motor games will be used to develop critical skills like grasp, dexterity, and visual-motor coordination—all in a way that feels like play rather than work.

These tools will allow me to create engaging, individualized therapy sessions that help my students build confidence and independence in both the classroom and daily life. Your support will truly set them up for success this school year and beyond.
