Strengthen Young Minds

Help me give my students up-to-date non-fiction books about topics and people as diverse as them! My age group of students love being creative, and learning about important historical events and figures!

My Students

Have you ever asked kids what they want to read about? You should! My students gave me some awesome answers when I asked what sort of books they would like their library stocked with.

My students are full of awesome ideas, suggestions and are always willing to brainstorm with me on how we can make the library the best it can be!

My Project

I am a librarian for both elementary schools within my district, and those school libraries house some phenomenal books, but also some very old ones too. I'd love to give my students some newer non fiction books, that include biographies about figures my kids are interested in!

There are so many things competing for a childs attention in todays world, and my hope is by giving them access to interesting books, we can shut out some of the worlds noise for a while!

The books on my wish list have come from suggestions directly from my students! To make my libraries as successful as they possibly can be, I feel that collaborating with the students is the most important thing I can do.
