This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
A student’s voice is important to be heard and our students want their voices heard. This upcoming school we are looking to launch a student led podcast that will feature the opinions on different issues from the student’s perspective. A podcast program will allow their voices to be heard in the most important of ways. The program will aim at strengthening their skills in writing, researching, and most importantly collaborating with others.
A laptop will support this vision and program to come into fruition.
A laptop will allow the students to record their podcasts and then learn how to edit and publish their episode onto our school platform. Through Apple the students can use the Garage application in order to record their podcast episodes. After recording students can then go in and edit as needed. Through garage students can add music clips to their episodes as needed without the need of a separate program and record episodes in any order.
