This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have the special priviledge of teaching K & 1 student. We are working hard on all areas of STREAM (Science, Technology, Research, Engineering, Art, and Math) and we'd love to add in CHOICE.

Right now, my science classroom is an absolute blank slate ready to be home to some ready-made kits that students can choose to create with.

Some bins will have Legos or other building materials. Some bins will have art and creativity choices. Some bins we'll have flashlights for exploring. Some bins will have STEM choices for creating.

I want to ensure our youngest learners have access to as much choice as possible. Several times a term, we'll have free choice where they can select a box to design, engineer, and create to their hearts content.
