Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I would love to give my students the opportunity to learn through creativity and hands on projects. The Mayor's Initiative for Climate Change is a great way to begin learning. I hope to use the Strawbees with my students to come up with solutions for park cleanups, recycling, clean transportation and more!
Group work and hands on learning promotes not only learning and creativity, but vocabulary, social skills and the importance of teamwork which is especially helpful with our large ENL population.
My students are always so eager to learn and would love ways to learn through their creativity. Hands on learning will also help students who need a little more help with reading, writing and language to be successful.
