My Project
Many of my students face significant financial and home-life challenges. In a poverty-stricken community, access to technology, academic resources, and even a safe, comforting environment is not guaranteed. By bringing these resources into the classroom, I can bridge the gap between what they have and what they deserve.
The iPads will allow my students to explore subjects in ways they’ve never experienced before, giving them access to a world of learning beyond the constraints of our school budget.
The chess boards will teach life skills like perseverance and strategic thinking, which are critical for overcoming obstacles. And the beanbag chairs will provide the comfort and sense of security they need to stay focused, particularly when life outside of school feels overwhelming.
For many of my students, the classroom is their only consistent refuge. By making it a place where they feel empowered and supported, we’re not just improving their educational experience—we’re giving them tools to break the cycle of poverty and dream bigger for their futures.
