Many of my students are at-risk, and of low socioeconomic status.

I know that my students are fully capable of becoming successful teachers, doctors, and future business owners. My students are great kids that are very eager to learn! They would be thrilled to know that someone cares about them!

My Project

Storyworks' thrilling content across genres will build my students' reading, writing, and critical-thinking skills. From nonfiction to mythology, from poetry to paired-texts, the fascinating stories and articles will delight and challenge my students. Storyworks is perfect for Common Core and beyond!

Storyworks has awesome articles that will give students the rich reading experience recommended by the Common Core Standards.

It has wonderful short stories by famous authors that are leveled and easy to teach all types of learners-perfect for reading groups. Every issue includes four in-depth lesson plans, including writing prompts, critical thinking questions, teaching objectives, that will keep my kids engaged.
