My Students
Fifth grade is an important grade because it is when they start to become individuals and really begin to think about who they want to become. They may not be ready to choose a career path, but are deciding if they are going to give it their all to do well in school, sports, and friendships. My students give it their all, all day, every day! Technology helps me motivate them!
Unfortunately, our school receives very little funding for resources like technology and technology-related supplies.
We do the best we can to share among classes, but the continuous use of technology, daily, will help them become more proficient and motivated. Help me, help them!
My Project
These chromebooks and 3D printing pens will help my students bring their stories to life and share them with others. Students will create key scenes or characters from their stories using 3D pens and use those creations for inspiration as they write.
My students will write their stories on Chromebooks using Google Docs and illustrate them using Chrome Extensions and 3D printing pens before reciting and sharing them through Screencastify.
Recording their stories through Screencastify will allow my students to share their stories with classmates or even the world through Google Drive or YouTube. Students will be able to provide feedback to each other through collaboration and celebration.
