My Project
I teach English at a Middle School in Fort Collins. Covid has caused major changes in our students, and I would like to address two of them. One, students are much less able to focus in a classroom for an extended period of time. Two, their communication is increasingly in digital/video formats rather than writing.
In order to address both of these issues, I would like items to help focus their busy bodies, and phone tripods to assist them in filming their own stories.
The fidget toys will be helpful in keeping their bodies occupied so that their minds can focus. The tripods will be used for students to film their own perspectives and tell their own stories using video. I feel like this is an aspect of literacy that is lacking in most curricula.
