My Project
My classroom is filled with amazing, creative, curious 4-year-olds who love listening to stories. Now, I want to give them the chance to bring those stories to life. With hands-on storybook puppets, fairy tale characters, Pete the Cat and Eric Carle props, my students will be able to act out and retell their favorite stories.
These materials will help my students build critical early literacy skills like story comprehension, sequencing, and vocabulary growth while also encouraging them to collaborate with their classmates.
Puppets and character props give children a fun, playful way to step inside a story, expand their knowledge, and express themselves.
For my English language learners, retelling stories with puppets is especially powerful. It gives them visual and hands-on support to understand the story and the words, while practicing new vocabulary in a safe and playful way. And for all my students, it makes reading an adventure filled with creativity, laughter, and imagination.
