Storybook Walk: Adding Community to the Joy of Reading!

My Project

A Storybook Walk is when pages of a book are displayed around a building or outside path. The intention of a Storybook Walk is to get the audience moving, interacting with the story, and forming a sense of community with other readers.

The materials provided through this project will create the first Storybook Walk at our school.

The book "School Is More Than a Building" will be laminated using the laminator machine and laminator pouches in this project. By laminating the pages of the book, the Storybook Walk can be reused year after year inside and/or outside. The pages will then be displayed through the halls and different areas of our school during the first weeks of school. This Storybook Walk will provide students, families, and teachers with a wonderful experience to learn more about our school, explore the campus, and meet new readers.
