My Students

My students will be introduced to PLTW (Project Lead The Way) that is aligned with STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) and GTT (Gateway to Technology). I teach DM (Design and Modeling) and AR(Automation and Robotics) to 6th - 8th Graders.

As a PLTW teacher, I am helping to prepare middle school students for the global economy, equipping them with the skills and tools to become the most innovative and productive in the world.

By engaging students in innovation and critical thinking, we are creating the next generation of STEM professionals.

My Project

PLTW classes emphasize creativity and innovation, and the result is that PLTW students become engaged with their learning, discover a passion for STEM fields, and are 10 times more likely than their college-going peers to pursue a STEM-related degree and career. I have received special professional development to use activity-, problem- and project-based learning that allows students to apply the academic content in a real-world context. As a result, students are better able to address today's workplace challenges, which may include understanding and using technology, creative problem solving, and data analysis. In order to offer this type of learning environment, we provide our students with computers that have the same software that professional engineers and architects use to design buildings. Our students need supplies that allow them to develop and build the project designs on the computer.

Students will be able to listen to programming instructions and tutorials without disturbing others.

Students will be able to use the wireless mouse to help in their precision of design with the Autodesk Inventor software. With your financial support, you can help bring these items to our classroom, and by doing so, will help us prepare our students to be the most productive and innovative in the world.
