Despite my students' vast diverse backgrounds, they are some of the most inspired workers I have ever had the pleasure of teaching. Every day, my students come in excited to work on new projects. By allowing students to experiment with the most up to date technological developments in school, it is giving them the same opportunities students in more funded districts receive.
From Kindergarten thru 8th Grade, my students are eager to take every opportunity they are given and explore new ideas.
They are natural engineers and it is truly a gift to watch them grow in their knowledge and love for using technology. In addition to learning more about technology in their world, it helps students engage more in other content areas in school. It is amazing the change in focus a student has on the same information when they are working on it on a computer vs. reading it from a worksheet.
My Project
Our classroom has been lucky enough to receive some amazing technology for our classroom. However, now we need somewhere to put it!
This storage unit will house our new Cricut machine and heat press device.
This particular one was selected due to its ability to move around the classroom as needed for individual student projects as well as hold the weight and heat from the heat press. By having a cart that is mobile and rugged will allow the students to focus on the project at hand rather than the safety of trying to carry and place the machines around the classroom as needed.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
