This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year I will be doing a lot of small group reading instruction. I will need lots of books to teach my diverse learners.
These books will help my students learn new vocabulary and phonics.
They have difficulty staying on task because of their lack of reading skills. But mostly because of the lack of engaging books they require.
The majority of my students are from low-income families. Many of them may not have the resources needed to read every night. I want them to have as many resources as possible to help them grow as readers.
