This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Many students coming to school are dealing with strong emotions, which may make it challenging for them to focus in class. These students may be faced with challenges at home and school, and deserve the best support possible to help them process these challenges in order to succeed both in school and at home. Stories and activities are a great way to help students identify and manage emotions, increase social awareness, process challenging situations they are faced with and begin to heal and overcome the challenges they face.

Help me provide interactive ways to support the mental health needs of students through stories and activities.

These materials will help me explore emotions with students through storytelling and fun activities. By engaging students through books and activities, I will be able to better support their mental health, leading to increased engagement and success in school and at home.
