Help me give my students a diverse classroom library with books filled with characters who look just like them and who celebrate the same things they celebrate!

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are an amazing group of kind and eager children that are learning from home and in the classroom. They come to school or log on to their tablets each day with an open mind and thousands of questions they want to learn the answer too! They thrive in an environment with hands-on activities, movement, and play!
My Project
Having a diverse classroom library will allow students to see themselves and their peers in the stories we read. While my students read independently they will begin telling their own stories to go along with the pictures. During our whole group time, I can expand their imagination and knowledge while listening to these wonderful books.
While exploring the diverse books, they can begin to notice and appreciate the wonderful things that make us each unique.
We embrace different cultures, communities, and families in our school and having a classroom library that reflected that would be a tremendous benefit to my students.
