This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My yearbook and newspaper students have risen from many obstacles in life to get to this point. They are in a school that is still trying to recover from Hurricane Harvey. They are in a place where they are striving to do what is right, despite the constant pulls in the opposite direction. These students are eager to find personal successes and share them with those around them.
These students this school year will be able to show what they learn through the technology of photography.
What they accomplish this year will benefit the entire school population.
My Project
Even though the students may gather a few old cameras, we still need to rebuild the SD cards to use with them. Without this mode of storage, the cameras will not work. This will prove the cameras useless and make it difficult to document the coverage of the event.
When the yearbook and newspaper staff have SD cards and readers, they can accurately store and access the pictures and video for usage.
This will make it easier for them to upload the pictures to the online newspaper or to the templates for the yearbook. This will also allow the cameras to properly function.
