This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am an NYC Kindergarten special education teacher. This year, I am working with ASD students who need a clutter-free classroom. I take pride in organizing my classroom to ensure my students come in feeling safe and focused. When my students are feeling overwhelmed, I also feel overwhelmed for them. Creating a clutter-free classroom would help ease their emotions. We would like to have a clipboard holder to store the clipboards we received for our school community walk. This will help them stay organized when they are done using the clipboards. The storage cart will be utilized to put their change of clothes with their names on them. This way they can look for their change of clothes just by looking at their name on the cart. We also need magnetic storage folders to put important paperwork for them to take home. Help us declutter some of our mess to create a safe classroom environment.
