My Project
Teaching students how to be organized and responsible at a young age will help to create productive, accountable and responsible adults. This will mean a more productive, accountable and responsible future workforce.
Most, if not all of my students, come from low socio-economic backgrounds.
As such, items that so many of us consider necessities when it comes to schooling are often thought of as extras by my students and are truly valued. Many of the students in my class backpacks are items that are expected to last them years. Sometimes they are purchased new and sometimes they are purchased second hand, however they are treasured all the same. Backpacks are often items that are handed down from sibling to sibling over the years as well. For my students backpacks need to withstand the normal wear and tear of everyday student life. Having a backpack storage rack, and hooks for my students to use, will ensure that they have a safe and secure place for their personal belongings. Having a safe place for their belongings will help us focus on what truly matters most... getting a top notch education!
