This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Every child can learn and grow. Our special needs preschoolers are growing up and becoming successful big kids. They're almost ready to go to kindergarten! Preschool is such an exciting time where children learn basic skills like singing ABCs, as well as developing their own personalities. You can see who is going to be shy and who is going to be the class clown.

Preschool is a child's first educational experience!

Preschoolers have such excitement to show people what they've learned and mastered. Play-Doh becomes ice cream and empty tissue boxes become blocks.

My Project

This project is for a classroom shelf to keep books and toys. Currently, we have shelves but they are very tall and old. Many times, the children have pushed over the shelves or climbed them. I want them to have a shelf in the classroom that is safe for them.

This shelf is the perfect height for my three to five year old students, only thirty inches tall and sturdy.

Even if they climb on top, I will not fear them getting injured. Furniture is a pretty large expense for the classroom. When the school buys us furniture, they expect it to last forever. Well, my shelves are a good, fifteen years old already, and are peeling and not stable for small children. Please help us out with getting a new shelf that's safe and sturdy!
